Senior Principal Product Development Manager (NB)

Roles and Responsibilities:

As a Senior Principal Product Development Manager you will serve as the central resource for all aspects of the engineering solution, which can include: boards, mechanical, peripherals, power, Operating System(OS), OM, Firmware(FW), Basic Input/Output System(BIOS), solution SW, test, diags, Info dev, Original Design Manufacturers(ODMs), and vendors. Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line.

  • Responsible for managing the technology lifecycle of new products, features or enhancements from conceptualization, requirements gathering, product specification, implementation review and release. Works directly with the core team members: Product Manager, marketing, service, sales, operations, quality, and finance to bring the product(s) to market.

  • Acts as primary point of contact and coordinates Development and Test resources to successfully release new products on time and within budget. Evaluates technical options and represents business requirements to the engineering organization through responses to the market requirement documents and detailed functional specifications.

  • Provides daily direction and tasking of a team of system engineers. Provides the engineering response to the Product Requirement Document(PRD) by interlocking with all of the affected engineering teams.

  • Consolidates all of the engineering SOWs for RFQ. Develops the prototype build plan in coordination with the engineering extended teams.

  • Coordinates the engineering extended teams to develop the product(s) on schedule with excellent quality and low cost.

Essential Requirements:

  • Drives engineering solutions to field quality issues.

  • Supports Services and IPS with customer issues.

  • Coordinates validation of new components for production products.

  • Supports and responds to requests for production product enhancements.
