Senior Systems Development Engineering Manager

As a Senior Manager of our Cloud and Emerging Technologies Development Engineering (CET) team, you will be managing a team of experienced and talented system and hardware design engineers developing the next generation HyperScale and Telco Server solutions and customer outcomes. You will be responsible for engaging with peer platform, BIOS, firmware, software development and validation teams to design and launch the next generation of our server portfolio with best in class engineering quality. You will work with our factory and field customer escalation teams to manage the root cause and resolution of critical design issues.

  • Manage a team of system, hardware engineers who work with our firmware and software team to develop and sustain complex server systems.

  • Manage talent growth and development of a growing team of systems, hardware development engineers.

  • Interlock with a peer group of senior hardware, software and validation managers to successfully execute the roadmap and develop strategic solutions to engineering and organizational challenges and deliver a best in class product portfolio.

  • Represent the team's work in executive forums and provide leadership updates.

  • Work with your senior leadership to incubate and drive strategic growth opportunities.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor or master degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science/Engineering or related areas.

  • 10+ years of experience in hardware, firmware, systems engineering design, development, validation, Quality or customer engineering

  • 5+ years as an engineering lead, people or program development manager.

  • Excellent analytical and written communication skills.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Understanding of x86 CPU based compute architectures, server or client system development.
